ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR POSITION IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Responsibilities: Faculty appointees will teach graduate-level classes for P-16 practitioners; advise students; and chair and serve on doctoral dissertation committees. Involvement in research and writing is required. The candidates should have leadership/administrative experience and be able to articulate a research agenda. Areas of specialization sought in candidates include two or more of the following: leadership theory, educational policy studies, human resource management, school/ community relations, educational law, or educational finance.

Qualifications: An earned doctorate in educational leadership or a related field from an accredited institution and prior experience in P-12 and/or higher education administration are desired. Preference will be given to individuals who have strong disciplinary, conceptual and methodological training, a record of research and writing, graduate-level teaching experience, and have chaired doctoral committees. The candidate will be expected to work with students in on- and off-campus courses face-to-face and in on-line environments and contribute to the success of the master's, specialist, and doctoral program. A competitive salary will be based on qualifications and prior experiences with a tenure-track appointment at either the assistant or associate professor rank. Starting date should be no later than August 28, 2008.
