Position Summary The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at the University at Buffalo seeks candidates with scholarly and professional accomplishments to fill a full-time, tenure track Associate or Assistant professor in Higher Education Administration. GSE is seeking candidates with a research agenda in higher education policy (e.g., governance and state policy, access and affordability, curriculum and college-level learning, leadership, finance and/or economics, community colleges) and expertise in quantitative methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications (a) An earned doctorate in higher education or closely related field. Degree must be completed before appointment is scheduled to begin.
(b) Strong background in quantitative methodologies.
(c) Demonstrated potential for research productivity in the form of peer-reviewed publications and or conference presentations. Candidates for the Associate Professor position must have a strong record of publications in top academic journals.
(d) Demonstrated potential for success in teaching and contributing to academic program development at the graduate level. Candidates for the Associate Professor position must have successful experience in graduate-level teaching experience and directing doctoral dissertations.
Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with a research agenda in higher education policy (e.g., governance and state policy, access and affordability, curriculum and college-level learning, leadership, finance and/or economics, community colleges). In addition, preference will also be given to candidates with expertise and the ability to teach in at least two of the following areas in higher education: post -secondary curriculum, higher education organization and governance, higher education law, community colleges, small college administration, finance, and K-16 education.
